Samba Reggae Samba Reggae originated with the group Olodum, in Salvador, Bahia during the early 80’s. This rhythm has since become one of the most recognized forms of music in Brazil. A hybrid of Jamaican Reggae (which is very popular in Brazil), and Candomble ( Afro Religious ritual music), the music and dance movements are characterized by their strong African Roots.
